in our continued efforts to preserve your American heritage and the memory of our ancestors, who saved the Union during the War of the Rebellion, America’s Civil War.

The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW) was created in 1881 and recognized as the legal heir of the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR).  Chartered by Congress, the SUVCW is composed of male descendants of soldiers and sailors, who honorably served the Union during the Civil War. Associate members are welcomed too.
